I never considered myself a “political person”. I used to trust there were people in government who knew more about issues than myself and that I would leave those decisions to them. Recent years have taught me that opting out of political discourse is no longer an option. So when I was trolled on Instagram a month or so ago (for my “I voted” post from November), I decided not to keep quiet any longer.
I designed these socks with the goal of supporting the many organizations out there who are currently fighting for our democracy here in the U.S., so 20% of all sales of this design will be donated to these various organizations each month. I will post about which organizations are benefiting in my group here on Ravelry as well as on Instagram and Bluesky.
About the socks: Top-down, lacy socks. Written up for two sizes. Includes both written and charted instructions.
About the yarn: The sample shown is Hazel Knits Artisan Sock in Sapphire colorway (or Democracy Blue as I think of it).
